RV's Sreemantha
Supps, Vid, Nandita, Priya, Vyb, Jai and myself went and attended RV's Sreemantha this Saturday. RV and Pramod were all smiles and looking extremely happy with thoughts of a tiny toddler soon.
Arrived a bit late but caught some parts of the ceremony while junta from the airport hotel got hopelessly lost and arrived in time for the Lunch :)
That was worth it .. awesome south Indian fare .. mmmm .. I should have visited RV sooner.
The Jundk Girls
The baby boy's name is still a secret .. we tried out some names in the hope that RV gives out the name .. all we have for now is that it starts with an "S".
Later that day, on our way back to Boston, we went and visited Diya. That involved meeting her mom .. but we didn't mind her .. as long as Diya smiled and gurgled at us :)
After a very long time, ended up having 2 excellent meals on the same day .. RP's mom had made yummy pulav with raitha, pickles and we tanked up with some curd rice.
Once Diya showed signs that she was bored with us and was ready for some sleep .. we too headed home for what we hoped would be an early night .. cos we had a short trip to NH Lakes region for some Fall viewing.
There were some second thoughts and thoughts of Shopping kept cropping up .. finally we squashed them and decided that NH it was going to be.
Turned out that the colors in the Lakes region was good .. just past peak maybe .. with loads of Ochre, yellow and brows and the occasional Reds midst of plentiful Oranges.
An Easy hike up the West Rattlesnake Mountain
Did a leisurely Hike up Mt Rattlesnake peak and were awarded with amazing vistas with colorful mountains .. tried my hand at some DSLR using Supps camera which she entrusted with me .. I need to see the results of that experiment .. to see which way I go wrt Nikon D50 and Canon 350D.

In all this time, YB managed to wander off somewhere .. guess the Panda was looking for some Bamboo to chew? :D
Had some lunch at the Picture Perfect town of Meredith .. ppl wanted to eat something substantial .. but all we could find was Pizza .. a runny one at that ...
A wine bottle was purchased but could not find a BYOB place ..

Returned to Boston early evening .. Denver ppl had to leave on Sunday night .. and that's when the real drama began.
Supps had lost her wallet (and it remains lost as I write this) and she had all her Photo ID etc in that. She could cancel the cards .. lose the cash .. but how was she going to board her Flight a few hours away??
Made some frantic calls to Continental and Logan airport and found out that a copy of passport might help her get through. Made more frantic calls to locate her Passport .. get it scanned and emailed to us here .. some midnight rides to go get the printout from a friends apartment (bless them ) and Supps was finally able to take her flight.
Eventful you say? Well we say it was Fun :)
Already plans of the next get together ... did anyone say Thanksgiving was around the corner? Hmm .. where haven't we gone till date? ....

Mid Oct meetup
Its that time of the year again .. its Time for another meetup.
This time its going to be in NJ\Boston .. NJ for RV's Srimantha and then we are heading up to Boston.
Likely Participants going to be Vid, Supps, Nandita, Priya, Chandru, Bharath, Vyb and myself.
RP, Pawan and Diya will meet us in Boston!
Looking forward to see RV and wish her ..
